Slam dunk gutter

Out playing a scramble today with my mates.
Got to the 8th. par 3 showing up at 155yards on the bushnell.

Pin was tucked in tight left around 8ft on behind a bunker.

As it was a scramble i went on the tiger line.Flushed my 8 iron on the pin the whole way. came down on the pin.Then shot around 15ft in the air finishing up around 12ft left of the hole.

As the bunker is in front of the pin you cant see the bottom of the pin.i assumed my ball bounced short and hit the pin.

However the big green scuff on the ball was from the bottom of the cup where there was a matching scuff.

I cant believe the ball went in and back out and never left a mark on the edge of the cup.

So i nearly had my first hole in one

Stupidly unlucky! That really sucks! I guess it missed everything it needed to hit to stay in the hole. Usually you see any old balls, even those flush going in and staying in as the shape of the hole kills all the momentum of the ball. In this case you seem to have been beyond unlucky!
