Evening folks.i haven't been on the site for a while due to working just about all hours god sends, so I have some catching up to do.

Any way the reason for my post is I'm going to be doing a tandem skydive in June this year ( its my first jump)
Reason I've decided to skydive is to raise abit of money for the national autistic society.

Having a autistic son myself i understand the importance not only NAS but all charities. So I've decided to jump out of a plane in hope to rise a few quid.

If anyone would like to sponsor me here's the link to make a donation.

Thanks guys.

Good afternoon all, has anyone on here ever done a fundraising event for a charity? I've chosen to do a tandum skydive for NAS.

Has anyone ever done a skydive and if so how did it go? I'm a little nervous already ha.

Also I could do with a bit of help raising a few quid for my chosen charity.

Does anyone have any suggestions to help me along my way to reaching my goal? If so please share.

All advise and suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

My wife did a tandem sky dive in august for a local lad with cancer.
She jumped frim 15000 feet at hibaldstow airfield (a stones throw from forest pines at scunny)
she "enjoyed" it but wont be doing another!!!!
Get the video done its worth it, if i work out how to , i'll put some pics up.

Wow 15000 ft that's high, I'm jumping from 10000ft. I have a son with autism that's my reason for trying to raise some money for the national autistic society.

Have I mentioned I'm scared of heights too, going back a good few years now I worked as a roofers assistant, any more than two stories high and I was frozen stiff with fear. (That job didn't last long)

I'm finding it harder than I thought getting sponsors, I've yet to put posters up at my work (in waiting till pay day to put them up)

Do you have any tips for me to raise funds? What did your wife do?

Ps: I'd love to see the pics of your wife's jump if you can get the pics up.

Imagine if 50 of you kind fellow golfers donated the minimum donation of £2. That would raise a fantastic amount for a well deserving charity. Every bit of cash raised really does couldn't.

Thanks guys.

Looks amazing mate, whoever took the photos did a really good job. I like the background view looks a really clear day.
Your wife don't look that scared too. Don't like to think what I will look like in my photos. I'll probably look like a bullmastiff LOL.

It was £240 for the jump, and £90 for the one to one photos and vid is really good, she says was too busy trying to breathe, falling to the ground at 2 miles per minute!!! 120mph.

on image 4844, if you look about an inch below the instructors right elbow, thats forest pines with the m180 a tad below, and the river humber is the big river in the background, with the trent running in to it. i think.

Wow. Very expensive for photos. It's going to cost £65 to get my jump filmed. Not sure if that includes photos.
I'm abit worried about breathing too falling at that speed. Oh we'll we will see might be something I will only do once in my life.

Oh god, so sorry to hear your news. Poor lad cancer is a horrible horrible thing for anyone to have but in kids is 100 times worse.
My heart goes out to his family.

7 year old poor wee soul,
Sorry to hear you sad news once again
