Wow - Just used my SC2.5 for the first proper time today and what a difference.

Hit 6/9 greens, was 1 over par for the 9 holes I played, had 1 birdie and chances for 3 others I should have converted if I could putt!!!

This is the best bit of kit you can buy, the confidence I had knowing the right club was in my hand made the golf ball seem like a beachball, never hit so many GIRs in regulation.

For those doubters - doubt know more go and buy or ask Santa for it - you won't regret

I have to say I think I was one of the first (if not the first) on here to get one and have been banging on about it for months and months. In my opinion it is simply the best in its field and makes picking the right club so much easier. It also gives you the confidence to know when a carry is definitely worth taking on or when prudence is a better course. If you can course manage you can score.

I agree entirely bazlambo, they were my exact feelings after my first round with my recently acquired SC 2.5.

And Herb they do help you find your balls in the rough! If you know how far you hit a certain club and minus a few yards for it being poor you can narrow down the area of rough you are looking in - it worked for me.

And Homer I must admit I was skeptical at first about how good a skycaddie could be and thought your estimation may have been OTT but you were spot on, they really are brilliant. I can see what people mean about not wanting to play without one having tried it, it is so so true.

Sorry Homer, but had mine long before - just managed to keep my gob shut hoping to maintain an advantage as long as possible. Ah well, now that the secret is out, the advantage evaporates...

I would get one guys because I do know how good they are, but I need more time to justify the price to me and the missus. I will have to save up equal amount to splurge on HID then maybe?

I've not used the SkyCaddie but i've got a GPS device called a Shotmiser. Not many people on here have heard of it I don't think but Im really happy with it and it does the same job as the SkyCaddie by the sounds of it?

well guys, it was an easy decision to make after all the talk on here over the last few days. I dropped in to our proshop today to see what he had in stock and came out with a shiny new SG2.5 and the accessory bundle. I got a great deal from the pro for buying the two together (thought he'd made a mistake at first but it was for real.)

So the rest of this afternoon will be used to get aquainted with my new friend.

After watching Leftie and Murphthemog using theirs yesterday I think I am goig to treat myself to one.
Trouble is, I will have to learn to play whilst wearing my glasses. Waste of time buying one if I can't even see where it's hanging

Bring on the revolution, its great to see many forumers deciding to take the plunge. You will not be disappointed. Skycaddie SC 2.5 will be the gadget to have next year, now they are a reasonable price I think this device will certainly become the market leader and a bench mark for competitors.

Played this morning in the frost - 18 temp greens. Using the distance marking feature on my 2.5, measured the distance of each temp green from the 100 yd marker and made a note. Just got to do the same with the other course now.

The only thing it doesn't do is tell you how far the ball will bounce in those conditions or in which direction :D :D
