bought a skycaddie sgx from u.s.a last month.when i went to register to get the courses put on,i was told i had to pay an additional £24.95.i did ask the the salesman and he said it would work in the uk from the box...im a little bit peed....anyone else had this happen?

That is standard, Skycaddie charges an annual fee.
 
It is what happens, skycaddie charge you for the access to the maps. The salesman was correct it will work as long as you pay the charge.
 
I am probably going to jack the SC5 in this season. It is becoming temperamental and I begrudge having to pay again every year. I think the Garmin and others now offer a better option although the one offf cost may be bigger the differential after a couple of years is made up.
 
The usual price to subscribe to Skycaddie is £29.95 per annum (UK)
Are they asking for an additional £24 aswell ?
 
no lads...i was going to buy the £34.95 pack,as im going to la manga next month,so they wanted 34.95 and the £24.95...really?
