When playing skins what should the difference be re handicap please? If there are 4 is it 3/4 from the lowest?

Additionally if a player does not claim his shot in matchplay competition is it his hard luck? Is it his respnsibility to say I have a shot here?

I don't think there is any set handicap allocation, 3/4 from lowest would be the usual, but it is up to the comp or if its a friendly you will have to agree before hand.

Your kinda right during a matchplay comp if a player has a shot it must be made clear during play of the hole (you cannot say after the hole has finished or walking down the next fairway)

Not sure Freddie, because they are effectively playing singles against each other, would it be full difference??

You are right though, because it's an "unofficial" format the rules and allowances would need to be set beforehand.

It doesn't matter as the group (4ball) are all playing against each other, not an entire field.

And skins is one halved all halved, pot get rolled over to the next hole.....so on and so on.
