I had mine given to be a s a birthday present this year........ Maybe I should give it back
Swanny
My question was should under 60s use an electric trolley?
If you are physically unable to pull or carry this is different...
I carry and I will until I am old and knackered. I like the fact that I can walk anywhere with my stuff and secondly, I don't want to be seen as a big girls blouse that can't lift a bag for a few hours..
I had a swanky powakaddy for a couple of years but got rid of it recently. I never used it. I couldn't be bothered to charge it up and lug it around wherever I played. It just wasn't worth the effort.
It was either Sam Snead or Ben Hogan who said that you should always carry your clubs as it builds up shoulder muscles and these are what you need to hit the ball a long way. I am with them.
I find it shocking when I see juniors with tour bags and powakaddys. I think they look ridiculous and always tell them so. Someone told me the other day that due to health and safety, the county juniors in Sussex have to use electric trolleys as they play so much and the administrators don't want them to get injuries as they could be liable for a claim. I am not sure if this is true but if it is, it is absolutely pathetic.
I generally look favourably on players who carry. It is the right thing to do in my view. You hardly exert yourself at all on a golf course anyway so adding a bit more physical effort can only be beneficial in my view.
Fair enough if you have an injury and can't carry but if you are fit and able, why not?
like allowing athletes to use roller skates?
surely must be against the rules somewhere?

( 1) so its about how you look to others them ?? bad reason to do anything is it not ?( 1 )secondly, I don't want to be seen as a big girls blouse that can't lift a bag for a few hours..

cant see the point in carrying when i have a trolley that does it for me, if i want to feel like i have been round the course i will just go round twice. Why have the possiblity of hurting your back for future years just to look "Good".
some of these LADIES have a lower handicap than you tho so they must be doing something right, musnt they ??Nice to know we have a fair share of Ladies on this forum...
I shall be carrying this weekend, in the rain and I am not young or classically fit either...
