Should Electric Trolleys be banned for the under 60s?

By the way, have you ever considered carrying 4 wedges or using a GPS?

As for the majority snapping at the OP's heels, the lot of you should be ashamed! As Neil said, hook, line and sinker.
I have to say, I don't think trolleys help actual scoring as it still comes down to skill in my opinion. A slightly tired good swing is better than a fresh crap one.

I use a leccy trolley.
I am physically able to carry, I just prefer not to. I have the physique of the guy on the Mr. Muscle advert, and even the new double straps dig in to my shoulders after a few holes.

Fair play to anyone that prefers carrying, it's just that I don't.

I also use 4 wedges and a GPS but please don't call me a girl because I don't think I'd ever get over it

i had trouble with mine on the sun mate coz i damaged one of the connections when dismantling it sat evening , didnt hear of any other guys having any bother . dont know bout the scoring but i enjoy it more than carrying (like i use to) like i say whatever makes my pasttime more enjoyable il try it ..

Having recently converted from carry to a PK Twinline Push Trolley in the last two weeks, I have noticed a significant difference.

Last two weeks have scored 35 and 40 points, opposed to my early season average of 28.

I would put this down to the energy saved by not carrying my bag, pure and simple, no other changes as such.

I’m 29 in shape (Deadlift 180Kg / Squat 140 kg /Bench 127.5kg) so although the bag doesn’t seem to weigh anything in comparison to my gym work, it does affect my posture, which I notice when the base of my spine starts to ache after 14 holes, which in turn plays on my mind and was rushing putts in order to return to normal posture.

Electric Trolleys are a luxury, fair play if you want one, however I couldn’t justify £300 difference between a push and an electric one, on the basis the push trolley is effortless.

[/QUOTE]dont use a gps mate & i agree that might help .. when my maths wains as much as my fitness has & i need it to help my game il give that a bash aswell .. have 4 wedges in my bag but must admit 1 is hardly ever used & i dont need the space so it stil there .. i get where your going with the the GPS question the wedge one has me puzzled

I found the rough a much easier target . I was wondering how the trollies fared through the wispy stuff and whether they were getting tangled.
Bag issues last weekend were rife! Simons dual strap snapped, one of mine went but had a backup look to use, Mark Sterrit's trolley died on the first tee on Saturday and took 20 mins to burst into life again, and now yours also...freaky! haha.

only got halfway down the 1st & got from 17th tee to green (par 3.. typical ) on sunday... its 1 heavy beach of a yoke to be pushing.. mind you it prob thinks im too heavy for it to be pulling ha ha.. no problems on sat tho .. Tell ya tho it was sum experience for a parklander...

I use a leccy troley becaue as a diabetic I need to carry plenty of food and fluids. Given the state of the British weather I always have a spare towel and waterproofs on hand as well. At the end of the day a trolley is a device for transporting the clubs from A to B in the same way as a carry bag. It makes not one iota of difference to how you swing the club.

If you banned them for anyone under 60 then you'd lose at least 50% of your membership in an instance and may clubs would go out of business. It is only the trolley users midweek that keep a lot of clubs ticking over

so what happens to everyone with leccy trolleys in the winter when they are banned from most courses, dont think either makes any difference if you carry you have extra weight to carry and if you have a trolley you have to walk further, argument solved
