What do you reckon was the shot if the year?

I'm going for Stensons 2nd to the 18th just now to set up a tap in eagle to win the RTD

Simply sublime

I'd go for my 3rd on the Par 5 18th of the Lakes Course at Belton Woods to set up an 8ft birdie putt to win our family trophy this year.

Ha, in the interview afterwards, he claimed he wasn't even aiming for the flag!

Might shot of the year was MY 4 iron bullet that flew just over the trees on our dog leg par 4 7th, went like a tracer, rescuing an awful tee shot. Ka-Boom!

I would have to see a highlight reel of the pros best shots this year to make my decision. J.Rose may be in with a chance for how he handled the 18th in the final round of the US OPEN.

My personal best shot or shots would have to be the 2 pitches I holed from 80 and 75 yards this season.

Stenson's 2nd to 18 was brilliant, but just before that Poulter knocked a hybrid close on the 17th and considering where the pin was, that was a pretty good shot as well.

I'd go along with DAVEYBOY with regard the way Justin played the last hole of the US Open...

Other than that Big Phil has played some flop shots this year that have astonished even his fellow pro's...

Mine was on Friday on the 17th at Pitreavie GC a 180 yard hybrid from the rough to 6 inches [ ok 12 inches ] , no one was more surprised than me.:whoo:
BTW £42 for a 4 ball, including soup and a roll after your round. We each got a £2 refund because the caterer phoned in sick, so £34 for a fourball on a good course, even with a course missing of course is still good.

Cabrera's shot into 18 at the masters for me. Everyone thought Scott had it sewn up but Cabrera had other ideas. Awesome.

My own is too difficult to choose, I'll have to give that some more thought

Just watched 1 of my mates have his shot of the year, my group walking off the 18th tee while my mate hut his tee shot to the par 3 17th, his ball pitched 3-4ft past the hole and started to trickle back from that moment it was going nowhere else but straight in! He couldn't see it but soon got the idea when the cheering and clapping started!

I spoke to David Howell after he won this for his shot at the 16th against USA at the Ryder Cup foursomes with Paul Casey.

I chunked it Doon he said with a twinkle in his eye.

Perhaps he had remembered the junior coaching when he was told to never let the selectors know when you have hit a bad shot.

My most memorable shot this year was at Woburn in the morning, 10th hole, 152 yards, 7i ,one bouce and straight in, it was my 4th shot though! However, it did give the kick I needed to bring my head back into the game and go on to win the round!

Stenson's 2nd on 18 today was awesome, but with the bounce it took on the first pitch was it a little lucky? It could of easily died to nothing. The fact it rolled out to where it did was just awesome, I thought it was going in at one point. I did give me goose bump watching it roll towards the hole.

I have three good shots this year

1. Nearly sinking my 2nd on the first for an Albatross on the Dukes - second smacked against the bottom of the pin and just rested on the edge

2. A cracking birdie on the 3rd on the Dukes the day after the Seniors - nasty Sunday pin on the right above the bunker - tee shot about 15 foot above the hole ( big mistake) - my putter just tickled the ball as it just slowly inched into the cup - it was only a friendly with my mate but it was a scarey putt

3. 18th at LB is a nasty left to right with a big tree on the left - clipped that with my tee shot and was left blocked out by the trees on the right with a bottom right pin and had 167 to go - hit my sweetest 7 iron with a great cut to land it dead 6 inches away

As for the real golfers -

Stensons second to 18 today

Spieths bunker shot

But Roses second to 18th in the last in the US Open and Cabreras second to 18th at the Masters were just amazing shots of near perfection in a pressure situation
