Challenge Tour Pro
Played up at Rockcliffe Hall today as a practice round today. After my playing partner turned up late at my house we belted up the A1 at slightly faster than the speed limit to get there 5 mins before our tee time. I was fuming, as it was y only practice round for the Trilby Tour in a couple of weeks.
Promptly got a kicking off the marshall on the 1st tee as we'd gone the wrong way to the first tee (slightly stuck up to put it mildly) and the heavens opened too. Not a great start to the day.
And then I promptly shoot 36 points off 3/4 handicap with 2 blobs. It was like the ball was remote control. The fairways were sodden, the sand soaked, yet I could do no wrong, it's the best I've played all year. Why now, why not in 2 weeks!!!!!????? I just know I'll back it up with a 20 point special.....
On a positive, if you're ever up that way, I'd definitely recommend a round up there, the course is in immaculate condition, it's a great challenge and it's not as busy as Slaley Hall or other resort courses.
