just a regular club society comp so nothing to special but somewhat dissapointing.

have had a few sub par rounds, my best being a 3 under 70 but this is my lowest this year so far. Target of getting to Cat 1 so it looks like on on my way.

not really grumbling it was nice to play well after all

I wouldn't worry too much. It's about what you do on the day and your own score and so shooting level par has to be mighty satisfying. You can't do anything about others playing well. I posted a score in a comp at Easter that would have won 6 out of the last 7 years and a guy came in with a score something like 8 over off 18 and blew me and the field away. I played well. Got a cut from 13.3-12 and came second. I was happy enough with that

Always a scratch prize in our medals. I always like it when the scratch winner is also the overall winner but doesn't happen that often.....

Pretty much how it is at ours, they list who wins the best gross in a comp but you get nothing for it, all the prizes/money go to nett prizes
