Little surprised I'm asking this but I need some new shorts for golf; no cargo pockets, knee length etc. I have bought from M&S in the past but this years offerings are so short I'd better off in my boxers.

Anyone got some recommendations? I'm not really after sports brands as they all seem to be 100% polyester.

Thanks for help

Dwyer and co are a fantastic fit.

had a grubby pair of black Galvin green trousers that Missis T cut down for shorts. They make me look slim

I've got a couple of pairs of Quicksilver and Rip Curl shorts. You can find some nice dress ones which fit the bill.

You might be better off going to your local Pro and get fitted for them.

He might even be able to check your balls out at the same time, two fittings for the price of one.

Primark?? I got a pair there the other week, only cost like 12 quid I think. Just regular smart looking shorts, job done.

Shorts have no place on a golf course in the UK & a lot of the people I see wearing them look seriously scruffy. I've never worn shorts for golf in 60 years playing in the UK. Abroad, for some reason, it seems appropriate & I have worn them then. Would hate to see the pros playing in them.

I'll remember to wear them at our next game ;)

What's wrong with wearing shorts? I think it is stupid to play in trousers in 20+ degree heat!...

Note to self, best shorts next time we meet up ;)

You're not serious are you? If I'm playing in 25° heat then I'm absolutely wearing shorts - doesn't matter what country I'm in?? Sweaty legs are nobody's friend.

I wear shorts on golf course Feb-Nov
Now and again wear waterproofs over the top but always wear shorts feel more free

OP go on eBay loads on there from golf shops

Stromberg make some lovely shorts. I am 6 1" and about 13 stone, they fit me really well, so i think you have to find a brand that fits your body shape. They normally have a sale on their website. They don't fade when washed, like pure cotton ones and are keep their shape well.
