I missed from around 20 inches today. Didn't even hit the hole

Probably about 6 inches. Went to tap it in with back of the putter in a nonchalant manner and knocked it wide. Got some stick. Someone however gave me some excellent words of advice. Treat every shot as precious. I try and do that and so take my time on each one now

Shortest I've seen about an inch (in a medal) or less... still don't even know what happened but ended up on other side of cup... he either hit hit down and pop it up, or hit too hard and ended up on other side or there was a ramp on the way to the hole. Single figure player

Approx 2-3 inches, annoyed at myself for leaving it short walked up and waved the putter at it only catching the top edge and moving it 1-2 inches, tap'd in for a 3 putt though :rofl:

About 3 inches. Just walked up to it and one handed waved the putter at it and just caught the top of the ball. it hardly moved.
This was about 30 years ago. Vowed to never do it again in a comp ever. Always settle myself even if I'm putting one handed on an odd stance.

Missed a 10 incher this morning reaching too far trying not to stand on someone's line. Thankfully nothing important at stake... That's the worst I can remember.

Something obscenely short. Was in Cyprus in a golf comp and went to tap the ball in nonchalantly....putter bounced off the grass over the ball and I missed it completely.

In a team comp someone (who shall remain nameless) missed a putt of less than a foot for a birdie on a par 3 - but that was not the worst thing.

He was marking the card and put a bogey down instead of par - we were 3rd instead of 2nd due to the card error and would have been count back calc for 1st if he had holed the putt !!

Honestly the green must be at least 40/50 yards long. Putted from the bottom all the way to a back pin. Put it to easily within a foot, looking back it was about 4 inches. You know the rest... 😂
