Ok Lads, I'm fed up with wet feet.
Last Sunday while playing a club match my feet were drenched after just 8 holes. It was raining but not that heavy.
The 2 guys I was with were wearing cheaper shoes but their feet were totaly dry.
These shoes I was wearing cost £120, the other 2 pairs of shoes didnt cost that put together.
I'm in the market for a good/great pair of shoes that will keep my feet dry for all 18 holes.

Any ideas?

Been through many pairs, currently playing with Addidas shoes and cant sing their praises high enough...

comfortable and waterproof.

Did anyone see Tigers 'sneakers' last night?

I would never have put adidas, comfortable and waterproof in the same sentence but that is just my opinion.

I have yet to have a truly waterproof pair of shoes but my mate swears by his greenjoys although they are made from plastic :(

My last two pairs of dryjoys have lasted years, and were still waterproof when I threw them away for looking overly tatty.

I have 3 pairs of Footjoy classics, which are as waterproof as a tea bag. I don't care, as I don't wear them in the wet.

I have a pair of churches, which look nice, but are totally useless in the wet.

And a pair of Footjoy sports, which seem waterproof at the moment, but kill my feet.

I am hoping my new Footjoy secret squirrels will be waterproof, as I need a comfy pair for the winter.

I have never heard any complaints about Ecco shoes.

Ecco, FJ DryJoys or my personal favourite the Nike Lunar Controls.

Last time I owned a pair of DryJoys was years ago, but they do exactly what they say on the tin.

Ecco's are very comfy. The pair that I had were faulty (waterproof wise), but they were hand-me-downs and had only been used in the baking spanish heat, I think the Goretex had worn out or something. Couldn't fault the comfort though, and it's not something I've heard of since.

Nike Lunars Relatively inexpensive, very comfortable and kept my feet dry during a torrential 18 hole down pour during the club champs. Only the tops of my feet got slightly wet with water creeping in through the laces when I was walking in knee high rough looking for the ball of one of my playing partners. You'll get that with any shoe unless they have the tongue sewn into the shoe like a good walking boot (the Ecco shoes have this). They're like walking on air though.

Footjoy AQL, had them over a year, never had any problems, were only £40!! Now these have proved their worth, never change make and model, will just buy new ones when they get worn out

I've had a pair of Footjoy AQL's for well over an year now and they are stil as waterproof now as the day I brought them.

I wont buy another brand of shoe for golf.

These Addidas Tour shoes are the best i have owned. And have had numerous Footjoys.

lovely shoes

I am interested in the replies - the last 3 pairs of FJ's leaked after a few months - but FJ were good enough to give me £10 discount for the hassle :-(

2 pairs of Dryjoys and 1 pair of Tour Classics

Playing partner uses dunlops - £22 and they have not leaked in a year :-/

I will 2nd the above.

I have had my Tour 360 Ltd for nearly 2 years and they are like slippers and have never leaked on me.

My Stylo Legends have been out in some howling weather over the last month or so and have not leaked yet. bargain at £35 from justgolfonline

I've had top of the range Nike, leaked straight away
addidas the same.

Footjoy dryjoys 2 pairs both let water in the sec the year Guarantee ran out. had aqlite were not too bad for a cheap shoe. The best shoes i had were FJ LT i've a pair that are 4 years old and still waterproof unlike the other fj i have, shame they don't make them anymore.

Quite a few of the guys a play with at Nairn all swear by ecco, so just got a bargin of a pair of Hydromax for £80

not worn them on the course yet so will report back..

Agree with your comments on the FJ LT, my first pair of shoes were the brown and white ones and they are still going strong.

Big fan of FJ Dryjoys. Had a pair for nearly 10 years and with some care and loving, regular polishing and dubbing they were still going strong apart from one small split. They are now used for the range and still doing a sterling job
