I was lucky enough to win a pair on here in the reader opportunity a few years back. The original booms, they lasted 3 years of solid play in all weathers and only leaked a couple of times towards the end in proper torrential conditions but still not that bad, toe line got a little wet. The main problem was the leather wore on the toe section from the grass and wet. I bought a new pair this year the new bioms with gortex, thinking that if the leather wears on these then at least the gortex should still keep them dry. I've loved both pairs and the old ones are still usable, just not when it's really wet. You do need to clean them and use the foam cleaner etc. I got some waterproofing spray too. These have been great straight from the box.

Stuburt Helium (2012 styling) Still going strong for me after 3 years. I've bought two pairs of other Stuburts in the mean time. These are in my spare room waiting for the Heliums to give up the ghost. No sign as yet.
