So they don't trust the guys at Kingsacre to fit someone themselves? Get someone in from Titleist and charge Kingsacre £40.... What was the point in people going on the Specialist fitting course?

Anyway i'll go to my local-ish driving range to get a overall driver fitting and i could come out with anything. I will say to them that i'd prefer the Titleist. £30 for the fitting but i think they take that off final cost.

I might see if i can get a contact to see if he can get one cheaper through his contacts though.

are you buying directly from titleist or are you buying it through another retailer? i got my 3-wood, hybrid and 3 wedges custom-fit from titleist through a private retailer and the only extra cost was the price of getting a prolaunch red shaft in the 3-wood. the actual custom fitting session didnt cost me a penny

I can't see many manufacturers charging for demo days. It is a great chance for a reasonably large passing audience to see and try the latesst seasons offerings. Many ranges/clubs will offer a discount for "buy on the day" orders via the pro shop or will take bookings for a proper C/F session at their fitting centres.

I rarely go to Titleist demo's as I'm not a huge fan of their gear, but everybody else (Mizzy, Cally, TM, Wilson, Ping etc) see it as a very useful tool. The only problems I've encountered is having to pre-book Trackman sessions for new drivers of a mini C/F fitting
