Shafts wearing out

My driver, 3 & 5 wood all seem to be on their last legs, due to my golf bag rubbing against the shafts whilst on the course. All 3 have roughly a 2 inch groove down the shaft..

Anyone tell me how thick the shaft might be and how long my clubs may last..

Is it just the paint that has rubbed off it usually is although it will eventualy get down to the shaft.

Two ways to stop it. Buy a graphite friendly bag which has more padding for the clubs to rest on or get some sock type headcovers which go further down the shaft.

Thanks for your response Doh.. Its more than just the paint, there are deep grooves in the shafts

Phil, I noticed that especially with your TM 3 wood and I have to be honest and say I think your 3 wood won't last the season.
