What is it?

shafts are not pure in their behaviour, there are stong flex points and weak flex points. Puring basically tests the shafts, finds the strong flex point on each shaft then makes sure that the clubheads are fitted to the shaft in the same position for each iron so you get consistent distances out of each club.
Something like this anyway.

So it is basically down to a consistant "hit"

I'm sure that i saw somewhere that it was £20 a shaft
