Hi,
i am looking into changing the shaft in my nike cpr hybrid as it is reg and i hate the feel of it, so want to change to a stiff, but i am not sure what the tip size is, and i have asked on yahoo answers (dont ask me why :D) and someone said it is .355 but i cant seem to find any hybrid shafts of that tip size, does anyone know the tip size of the club? any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

Did a bit of digging for you and it came back as .350 tip this is a standard size tip and you should easily get a shaft to fit, grafalloy, or aldila both do .350 shafts. Hope this helps.

thanks drawboy, does that mean that it doesnt have to be a hybrid shaft? can it be a wood shaft just cut down to the correct size?

i.i.r.c. most of the big boys do specific shafts for hybrids. Logic tells me that wood shafts are light, irons shafts heavy(er) and rescues somewhere in between. If you fit a light shaft and cut it down even smaller, it'll weight even less and mess up the swingweight too.

Have a look around the grafalloy or UST site

About 85g for a hydrid thingy is right....

Depends on the player though does it not? Callaway puts even lighter shafts in theirs these days. They went from 75g in the heavenwoods to under 70 in the diablos. I'm quite particular about weight and swing weight these days after having a fairly unmatched set of odds and ends for ages.

I think a good player (strong) should be looking around the 85g mark, yes.
