Hello all, I am new to the forum and joined because of the predicament I am in!!

I had both the BBC Inside Sport Special where Peter Alliss visited Seve and the Seve documentary that Gary Lineker did shortly after his passing, on my Sky Plus box. The problem is my Sky Plus box has broken and I have lost all my programmes on it.

I hadn't got round to saving these to treasured programmes to DVD yet. So I was wondering if anybody out there has either/both of these programmes which they could put on to dvd for me. Of course, I am willing to pay.

Any responses would be very much appreciated
Thanks,
Tim.

why not contact the BBC and see if they 'sell' programmes.

Also the harddrive can be taken out the Sky box and put into another one or its contents transferred afaik

I'm afraid my Sky box has long gone as the engineer who replaced it didn't give me that option. And the hard drive was broken anyway. I had thought about contacting the BBC but didn't think they would do anything like this to be honest. They would probably have thousands of inquiries every day. May give it a go tho.

if you live near a local bbc radio station they all have shops selling dvd,s ,tapes etc from the bbc ask them if them can get it for you failing that ring them up to enquire

Thank V Much for all the relpies. I have looked on youtube and they are not there unfortunately and also they had been removed from iplayer by the time my Sky Plus box died. I think I will try contacting the BBC but I'd be very surprised if they sold tapes/dvds of programmes that had not been officially released on BBC dvd. Piracy issues come to mind.
Thanks Again.

Thanks again for those. I have that official DVD and love it! Also had found those clips on the BBC site but of course they are just 3 or 4 min clips. Really appreciate your efforts!!

[h=4]Just found this definitive answer on the BBC website. So my only hope seems to be if someone out there has them. Oh Well............

Can I have a copy of a BBC programme?[/h]Sorry, but the short answer is no. We cannot provide copies of programmes, even if the programmes are already available to view on this website.
If a programme has been broadcast within the last seven days, it may be available via BBC iPlayer.
If a programme has been released commercially, many online retailers stock a wide range of archive programmes on CD, VHS and DVD. For more information, please visit BBC Worldwide's website.

You could ask the man himself on Twitter if he has a copy @TweeterAlliss - long shot but worth a try

It seemed to be going ok for a while then the time changed from an hour remaining to 2hr 50mins remaining and kept going up from there! I dont understand the downloading procedure to be honest. Do you always have to download a torrent (what is this?) before you can download the actual film you are trying to watch?
