I have virgin media my missus wanted a to up grade to the V Box £70.00 so you can record TV etc. She also asked what can you do has a free up grade next thing you know i have sports channels and the golf channel no extra cost.
It is all PGA and a few other programmes lot of adverts but at least it is something to watch.

To be honest I don't watch enough TV to justify having anything other than Freeview. If I could get just sports then it might be worth it but you've got to have a billion other channels too.
Too expensive and too inflexible for me.

I got setanta late last year. Didn't get Setanta for the golf, mainly football as they are now showing a decent amount of games I'd want to watch.
Golf channel is ok. I don't really watch much PGA coverage, I do like Highway 18 and Big Break is funny. UFC and the boxing is pretty ood too.
Watching some of the players on big break who are 'semi-pro' actually makes me feel my game isn't that bad. Even though it is.

I'm Sky + Setanta too and cos I watch alot of telly feel it's worth it. I quite enjoy the NASN channel (soon to become ESPN America).
Setanta golf is alright, yes, most of the feed is from US networks and they have alot of ads but you still see all the main shots. Setanta do pitch up and host a couple of events, the Players, being one of them I believe.
It's only a waste of money if you don't watch it.

Their schedule is a bit of a mystery
only US golf, and a lot of repeats but better than nothing, and you can only watch Shell's Wonderful World of Golf so many times. It does have it's advantages though, you often get 3 goes to watch a day's play before it goes live late evening.
Big Break isn't bad, except it was shot in 2007;
Highway 18 is less so (since all the golf courses are off Highway 18 - clue in there somewhere, how come they keep getting lost?)
Some of the golf instructors are soooo irritating.

I have Setanta and Sky and for me Setanta is great because I get nearly all the best Horse Racing going as well as the golf and a lot of live Prem. games... for the money it is not bad!

If setanta start doing European Tour coverage, then I might consider them, but until then, I'll probably stay with sky.
Not really interested in other sports than golf apart from F1 I supose, so full sports packages are a bit of a waste of money in my case. If there was a golf only option on either sky or setanta, then I would jump at it.

I've had Setanta for a while now. I didn't get it originally for golf, but have started to watch more golf on there as a result of the Fantasy Winter league.
I have to say that the CBS golf coverage is absolute pooh. I was watching this weekend and they only seem to follow the top 3 or 4 golfers on the day, that's when they can be bothered to show anything between the ads. Last night Luke Donald was only 4 off the pace, playing alonside fat Phil I think, but I don't remember seeing him play a shot. Their focus was pretty much on fat Phil, Sabbatini, Romero and Stricker.
i think it's time to give up on Setanta.
