Seriously not impressed

I was following a thread about pendulum putting as it is a subject dear to my heart but went to bed and missed what happened next. The following morning all trace of the thread had vanished.
So I started a new thread asking the question what happened to it and far from my question being answered, my thread has now been locked.
As per the title, not impressed that the mod decided rather than answering my question he would decide that it wasn't worth discussing and locked it without answering my question.
Chris, have you considered politics as a future career ?

I thought it was fairly clear as to why it was shifted but in case it wasn't it was moved as i felt it was getting quite silly with some of the replies. Your next thread was heading the same way so rather than let it degenerate into a full blown slanging match I felt it was better to close it.

Is that an acceptable answer for you?

And as for my thread, apart from munro' 'balderdash' comment (with a smiley), it was all quite civil as far as I can see ?

For some reason folk seem to be getting riled up with either the way the questions are asked or answered. I would only be having this discussion with someone else if a post(s) were deleted

Maybe if my thread had continued, accusations of balderdash may have degenerated into accusations of moronic language and we cant have that can we Chris

100% with you Bob. Was as civil as many threads. Yet a thread teeming with secretarian blolox is left to run and run. What an odd little world we live in.

I just didn't like the way the whole thread was removed and when I asked why, my question wasn't answered and my thread was locked for no apparent reason.
I dont like football so didn't read the thread about Rangers but a cursory glance at the most recent offerings showed lanuage a lot more colourful being used than 'balderash'.
Just one last question........did you or any other mod receive any complaints about my thread and its contents?

I didnt pm you because I didn't know it was you who removed the post in the first place and I thought others might be interested why my post was locked.

I had no idea who pulled the original thread. How could I know it just vanished overnight.?
I did however know it was you who locked my thread as you told us.

What's "basic foil language"? It was not locked for language good or bad, it was moved to a different section of the forum then locked as it wasn't going anywhere and IMO would've ended up in a slanging match.

Nothing wrong with having opinions, everybody does, it's how you go about putting those opinions across.
