Season Over

Bad luck luck mate. So frustrating!

on the upside, you now have plenty of time to organise next years king of kings

Too soon...?

Truly gutted for you - especially when you were playing so well and showing the sort of attitude and enthusiasm towards golf that strikes a cord with me. Hope you will be back playing soon

I guess you have tried everything but I have got a tense machine that works a treat on my back! Ok will not cure the problem but will help relieve the pain :)

good of luck though sir and howl it gets better soon!

I'm back playing after tendon injury in left wrist/thumb. Took 6 weeks off before a week of 25/50/75 pitching allied to exercises before venturing out on course. Think that I'm conscious of it still means I'm more relaxed and swinging more compact with better rhythm and not forcing shots, clubbing up and aim for back of green. Rest is key and brufen for 1-2 weeks to help inflammation reside & ice too.

Bad news, hope you can get fit again soon but don't rush with a back injury it can unfortunately reoccur if you're are not careful.
Hope it not too long a process.

Bad break Dave, just when the golf was going so well - those golfing gods are devious indeed.

I've always found that a good physio was invaluable for these kinds on injuries - trouble is they are hard to find. Many will just tell you to stretch, improve your core strength and sit up straight if you have a desk job. All good advice but rarely fixes a problem.

Hope you mend soon.

Ian

make sure you rest and don't be temped to hit balls before you are ready.

I had a tweek a couple of years ago and just carried on, which resulted in a back spasm and couldn't move for 3 weeks.

Sorry to hear that Dave. I hope you get sorted soon.
Ive had a bad back since my early twenties.. Tried a few osteopaths and they just made it worse. Plenty of rest and taking it easy is the only thing that worked for me. Oh and swimming
