I've seen these mentioned on a thread here. Just wondering have many here used them, any good?

Could be a good investment for wet days maybe

They are great, I bought them for mountain biking and running originally but given how wets its been they do for golf also.

I ain't had a problem with wet feet with my footjoys though ;)

I think it might have been one of my posts. They are the dogs dangly bits, even so much so that my father in law, brother in law and son swear by them now.

You can get varying thickness's and lengths, so something to suit most. You are best to shop around though. I prefer Mid thermal for winter, mid normal for all other seasons as the thermal get a bit warm in the spring and autumn.

They also do gloves and hats which are both waterproof and windproof. I have used them since 1998 and swear by them. I think I have about 3 pairs, and have gone through loads.

You just need to follow the care advice and do not wear them as slippers in the clubhouse.

Excellent. They sound great. Wet feet are really a pain, even with a good pair of shoes it's hard sometimes to keep totally dry. These sound like they could be a great solution

I have been wearing 2 pairs for over 2 years, at least once a week through the spring, autumn and winter. And the summer wasnt that long so prob about 8months a year.

I paid around £18 for my thick pair and £16 for my other pair, just got a hat and gloves too to replace the gloves I had which were 5 years old and only just started to let water in.

Have to agree with stevelev here, they really are the dogs dangleys, have used them for years for hill walking and never had anything but dry feet even in the most horrendous of weather, you could wear your slippers with these on the golf course and still finish your round with dry feet.

Sounds interesting especially in this typhoon season we're having all year. How are they with breathability?

They work on the same pas Gore-Tex, and I think are even more breathable. Keep your feet warm on a cold day, but if you wear the right thickness for the temp you wont get sweaty feet.

You could always go down the route of getting a pair of merino wool lining socks to use with a thinner pair if the cold is really biting.

They are very breathable, they work on the same principle as Gore-Tex, but I think are a touch more breathable. Just dont wear too thick a pair as they are warm. I have a pair of their liner socks for when it is really biting cold.

You'll never look back. This is one of the products I think with a review in the mag would really pick up in the golfing world. So many cyclists and hills walkers use them, I know quite a few mates who play footy who keep them in case a pitch is waterlogged and matches still played

Rather than start a new thread, just another post in support of these socks.
The rain at West Hill was non-stop and happy I made the decision to wear the sealskinz socks, didn't realise the water had got over the top of my shoes or through the laces and tongue till the next day when I was sorting all my wet kit out, my shoes were saturated in and out but my feet were bone dry, definitely down to the socks, bit pricey, but for anyone new to the game and prepping for winter, these socks imo are a must.

I have two pairs. Only downside is that they smell worse than a dead seal when you take them off. What ever you do don't leave them in your shoe bag for a week after playing.:o

I wore them at West Hill, and my feet were lovely and dry. The inside of my shoes was a different matter.

My AQL's along with my socks on Monday were saturated so I will be looking to buy these asap.

I didn't think the weather at West Hill was going to be so bad and I left my Sealskinzin my car back home!

My feet and socks were dry as bone after Monday - shoes and waterproofs helped but have a pair of sealskinz and they are very good
