I have found memories of my dad taking me there to see Brighton play in the old third division, but now its a retail park.
The new stadium is impressive and will be the envy of the Championship.

I still remember non-league Leatherhead winning 1-0 there in the 3rd round of the F.A.Cup in January 1975. Chris "Budgie" Kelly got the goal.
I use to enjoy going to the Goldstone with Fulham. Always a great atmosphere

I drive past the new Stadium pretty often and
every time I go to my club. It looks awesome as you drive through the downs and down the hill towards the bypass!
I think Brighton's biggest challenge will be to keep Gus Poyet. Hope he stays and takes them up again.

I think the last live match I saw was at the Goldstone; took my Dad - that was in the days when 30,000+ was usual, better than some 1st div teams of the day. (he had had offers of a pro contract with them pre-war - turned it down as he could make better money with his job and expenses playing semi-pro).
Never went to the Withdean, couldn't really see it as anything but the athletics track that it really was.
+1 on keeping Gus Poyet - always liked his attitude as a player
