Well done to Gus Poyet and the Brighton & Hove Albion team and lets hope he stays on to take them to their new stadium which is a fitting venue for a Championship team .....

Congrats. Give me the Gouldstone Ground any day though..

I have found memories of my dad taking me there to see Brighton play in the old third division, but now its a retail park.

The new stadium is impressive and will be the envy of the Championship.

I drive past the new Stadium pretty often and
every time I go to my club. It looks awesome as you drive through the downs and down the hill towards the bypass!

I think Brighton's biggest challenge will be to keep Gus Poyet. Hope he stays and takes them up again.

Golfmmad.

I sincerely hope my team will be joining them in the Championship next season.
We're level on points with Southampton with the Saints having a game in hand. Sick of League 1 football, not good for a Northern team!

Come on Town!!!

I saw the thread title and started to pack my bags.

I thought I was going to be picked up by Russian agents and returned to my life in St Petersberg.

oh, b.t.w. as an ex B&H fan (who was at Wembley also :D) I'm glad to hear good news.

Thanks Brighton for losing your unbeaten home record to allow Southampton to almost guarantee the second spot now. :(

That sets up a nice little South coast derby next season to swell the coffers.........a convenient result? :(

I think the last live match I saw was at the Goldstone; took my Dad - that was in the days when 30,000+ was usual, better than some 1st div teams of the day. (he had had offers of a pro contract with them pre-war - turned it down as he could make better money with his job and expenses playing semi-pro).

Never went to the Withdean, couldn't really see it as anything but the athletics track that it really was.

+1 on keeping Gus Poyet - always liked his attitude as a player
