Me and Scouser went in the Tuesday night comp and were tearing it up good and proper.
23 points for me front 9, 21 for him. After 13 holes I was on 30 points, himself on 32 from memory. I then made the mistake of saying that we could well be in the prizes, if we finish ok.
I went blob,blob,3 points,blob,2 points. I finished on 37 points, but didn't expect a top 10 finish (finished 13th).
He went 1pt,2 pts, 2 OOB on one hole for a blob,1 point, 2 points.
I said he could still win with that. One of Stuey's mates said other 40 points were in (but unsure if he was winding us up), so unsure how it would go, although he did have 19 points back 9, so he may be ok on countback.
Cue 20-odd minutes of trying to get the leader board to refresh, pressing the buttons continuously..........Also bear in mind he's never had over 30 points in a comp before..............1 more go, waiting for the leaderboard.........ok, 1 more then (10 minutes later)..........5 others on 40 points...............
