Great RWC and the best team of the comp deserved to lift the trophy. Hard lines Australia, your luck run out tonight.

Have to say though, Pocock and Hooper are and awesome pair of flankers

You have to add Fardy to that, he really does a huge amount of work to allow those two guys to work so well in tandem. I have really enjoyed watching those 3 work together and I think they have been the standout back row of the tournament.
NZ's back row have been good / efficient, but I think their No8 wasn't as much as an impact as I expected /hoped, and McCaw and Kaino are always playing at the limit of legality. They do it extremely well, that's why I was so impressed with the Aussie back row as they showed what can be done within the rules time and time again.

Not a massive rugby fan though watch the occasional international. Have to agree that the final was enthralling. I was riveted for the whole 80 mins. Thought it was over at half time but the Aussies pushed them hard although class eventually showed.
Really entertaining match.

I was being nice . In reality they get away with a lot. mcCaw must have been very tired today with the amount of "lazy running" he was demonstrating !

I don't really like the way the cross the legal line, but they are far from the only ones worldwide, they are just very good at it, and they seem to get away with it a lot. If you look at wood for England, he is always playing at the dark arts. Ireland are brilliant at it and get away with as much as NZ .

I'm not peeved with NZ winning. They are an exceptional side

What really pleased me with this wolrd cup was how god the games were. 4 QFs, 2 SFs and Final all great games. England group one kick away from the whole QF matches being completely different; Japan, Scotland. even Georgia and Romania had highlights.
All Northen Hmeispehere teams need to seriously step up. England not great, Wales only one kick better, Ireland beat a poor France only and Scortland had one fantastic performance.
