I seem to have a habbit of getting rust spots on my club shafts. It probably happened on my first set because they were slightly damp where they were kept but my second set are always in a dry place and cleaned when used in wet conditions.

Anybody else had this problem and know a good way of treating/getting rid of it?

Cheers.

more that likely this is wrong!

what i do is clean and dry then put a small amount of 3in1
oil on some kitchen towel and rub on the shafts only a light
amount

I concur with CLiveW. I just get HID to give them a wipe over as she's doing the heads and grips!!! If my clubs get wet I take them all out of the bag and dry them off straight away when I get in and then leave them out of the damp bag until it has dried completely (Or use my spare if I'm playing the next day)

I use Cillit Bang to get rid of any rust on the shafts, works a treat. Can't believe Homers wife cleans his clubs for him, I can imagine what my wife would say, or more likely do, if I asked her to clean mine :D
