Rules question

If a ball breaks into pieces as a result of a stroke, the stroke is cancelled and the player must play a ball, without penalty, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was played (see Rule 20-5).

Thanks lefty. Does that mean I could have replayed the stroke today even though the ball stayed in one piece?

God steve my scores are high enough without doing that! :D

No..you would have to play from where the split ball was...you would be allowed to change to a newer ball if you wanted though....and your partner agreed it was visibily damaged....
