On Wednesday this week had a nightmare of a day, which culminated in me leaving my Folder from work on top of the car and driving off. :o

In my folder where my Wallet, Ipod, Power cable, Letter, Pukka pad and couple of Pens. I today received a parcel with my wallet and the letter, along with a note using the paper from my pad but no other items and the money missing. So I'm still missing a few quid, my ipod & lead, Pukka pad and pens.:o

I don't care about the stationary just mentioned it so people knew the full story. What I would like to know is if the person who posted the Wallet and letter were in possession of my other items at the time of posting.

Would the police or royal mail be able to use the tracking numbers and postage labels to identify where it was sent from and the time so they could check CCTV images. :(

Its surprising how daft some people are (well look what I did) and they may have possibly had the other items on the counter as they packed my wallet etc up, or even if the had my pen and pad it would indicate they had the rest of the stuff. I know its a long shot but had quite a few pics I hadnt uploaded to PC.

What did the note say? Is wierd but at least you got all your cards back. (probably all cancelled though?)

Note (on the paper out of my pad) said, "I used some of the money that was in your walet to pay for posting it. Cheers"

And there was no money left in it, when there was a good bit when I put it in my folder and confused as to why he didn't send the pad had loads of meeting notes in it. The letter was in the folder and with the weather yesterday it would have blown off if not in the folder not stayed with my wallet

I can't see even the worst thief sending some of your stuff back, they'd just dump it.

You would be surprised mate, I manage some of the most prolific offenders in Manchester, there is a reason they are prolific, it because they keep getting caught. Why do they keep getting caught, well its not because they are Steven Hawking.

Did you have to sign for the packet? if so then it is traceable to the office of posting, if not then not much hope. Check the packaging and the postage details, again if stamps are used you can forget it, but if the post office put a postage paid labell on the packet then there may be a chane the office could be traced.

First call if you think you can trace it is Royal Mail customer service, give them with as much info as possible and you maybe in luck

Yes it was signed for, I thought RM would be able to trace it back to where it originated and use the time on posting to narrow down search on CCTV
