well, I did enjoy the course, and I started pretty well although on both the first 2 holes my shot to the green went right through the back. I did find it hard to hold balls on the green. My tee shots hit 3 of the 4 par 3s and all went through in fact the only par 4 I actually parred was the one where I finished in a bunker but got up and down.
Sadly my recent consistently straight driving let me down a bit and every time I missed the fairway I ended up with an awful 2nd shot which resulted in a poor score on the hole.
As I had trouble holding balls on greens I started trying to land short but they all seems to die short of the green.
I also found it odd that even though balls were flying off the greens, when putting they went that fast.
After the round I did have a good look around the clubhouse, there certainly is some history there.
So all in all a great morning even if the golf wasn't up to the standard I have been playing to recently, and of course the best bit ..£15!!
