Played in the FedEx Golf Challenge today at The Shire London where the top 3 qualify for the Grand Final which is a 3 day all expenses VIP hospitality tournament at the fabulous Royal Lytham & St Anne's! :thup:

........finished in 3rd place so now counting down the days to the 17-19th August....

Absolutely thrilled as always wanted to play this iconic venue........

Never mind Lytham, what did you think of the Shire? I thought it was great fun because of the constant variation in par of the holes. If I remember correctly, the 9th and 10th are the only back to back holes of the same par?

Played it 9 yrs ago in the July and it was as close to Open Championship conditions as it could get. It's the hardest Open Venue and course to date I've played, Bernard Darwin in the 30's called it 'A Beast', and it is. Enjoy.

Love it......it was set up pretty tough as they have a pro event there next week so they advised us they'd slowed the greens down to 12 for us just for our comp....

The invite is via FedEx as we are a customer. I've been attending this now for around 5 years but it's the first time I've managed to qualify.
36 points won on the day and there were around 25 partaking.
I think there's 5 UK qualifiers so should be 15 at the final.
