Arrive, loosen up the muscles as best I can, get a feel for the green pace and head to the tee when im due.

OR

If there is a range I may get the smallest basket and see how the driver is doing, might use it earlier in the round if there is a range.

If planned ahead I used to get food but the current situation doesn't allow that option.

If there is a chipping/pitching area I might have a quick go before heading out, if there is time.

If there is a pro shop I might grab an extra drink and food if I have not brought any, if I have I still might get extras or just nose around.

If I am meeting up with people I might have a chat first, depends on how much time we have before we tee off.

Then its to the tee in plenty of time for our tee off, I hope, sometimes its a bit rushed.

THEN

Tee off when its my turn, usually fairly cautious and look to find the fairway with a mid/long iron or hybrid.

Usually try to get there about 45 mins early. Hit some balls on the range, see what mysteries the swing is producing today, some putts, short Zoom call with my golf psychologist, have a whizz, get a card and get registered if it is a roll up, and off we go.

One part of that may be false.

I assume you skip the whizz and do that half way down the first

As I'm trying to birdie every hole, I always try and warm up fully before I start as a birdie on the first counts the same as on the last.
If I was playing a big comp, I'd try and play 9 holes first, unless I had an early start time.

Normally, I like to arrive 1 hours before tee time. Foam roll (if possible - normally in the changing room) stretch and then putt, chip and hit about 30 balls, then go off.

Arrive about 45 minutes before tee off, a few putts then some stretches with and swings with a club, some short chipping. Move to practice area and hit some full wedges before a few more putts

As we are in Level 4 (The highest level) we are asked to arrive no more than 5 minutes before our tee time and cannot use the clubhouse. The putting green is closed as are all other practice facilities. After the round we are asked to leave within 5 minutes of completion so as to avoid socialising in the car park.

I like to spend about 10 minutes in the nets thrashing at a few balls just to get the feel and hopefully the bad shots out of the way. Then onto the practice green for about 10 minutes chipping and putting.

Pull up in car park, gear out, shoes on, roll a fag and stroll to first tee. Couple of practice swings, oink one hopefully in the general direction we'll be walking in and start winding people up.
Me too Smiffy (except for the fag) never arrive more than 15 minutes before my tee time !

Pre covid days it was straight to the nets for a few 8 irons, a few 6 hybrids and a few 7 woods. Unfortunately the mats at the nets don't take a tee well so no drivers.
Then into the club to sign in and get my card.
Then 10ish minutes on the putting green.
Then a couple more swings at the nets to stay loose.
Then the first drive.
Then the provisional.

I have no routine, I turn up 5 minutes before the tee time, and my first swing will be hit off the first tee. My course has requested that no one turn up more than 10 minutes before their tee time to avoid crowding.

Pull up at 7.55 for my 8.00 tee time. Get out the car, get clubs out the boot and walk to the tee.
Routine before a round? ? Now I have heard it all

There are thousand of people who play golf and will have a routine before going out to play - whether that’s 30 mins hitting through the bag , or 1 hour warm up , or 10 mins getting the feel of the putting , there are many who don’t just rock up and hit the ball and surely even you realise that

The previous course I was at, the pro shop, putting green, chipping green, range and 1st tee were all close by. The ball vending machine allowed for 16 balls for a £1. They were very popular for a swift warm up. I did miss that in these covid times for a while, but have largely adjusted to 1st tee, 1st swing.
