Rory's new clubs

Cavity backs have been the majority choice on tour for many a year now.
Unpopular view but true:
At the shop retail level they must outsell blades by 20 to 1 or something. They're where research/investment is going to go so the rate of improvement will be higher. Blades are on a one way path to the same antiquated status as wooden woods; just a lot more slowly.

The quality of cavity back irons nowadays it’s evident why more and more top level players are moving away from them. In a game of marginal gains why would they worry about purist sentiment.

I’d like to think people are let so set into their ways they wouldn’t careless but then we’re talking about golfers here. 🤣

The way these forged cavity irons are made nowadays speaks volumes as to why how many pros are moving over to them from MB models.
Titleist T100’s are the same most titleist players on the tours have them in the bag rather than their blades.

Surely it’s a blended set can’t imagine him using CBs in his shorter irons
"Spotted using the P7CB in 4-iron to 6-iron at the Crown Australian Open in December, McIlroy then teased that he could be using a full P7CB set-up at the beginning of January, with the news confirmed at TGL as he was spotted using a full bag of the irons.

At the Dubai Invitational, McIlroy was using TaylorMade P7CBs from 5-iron to 9-iron, with his TaylorMade P760 4-iron remaining in the bag. We believe McIlroy's P7CBs feature a touch less offset and are ground down slightly more than the retail versions."

Interesting comment that .

I looked at T100s a few years back and the 7 iron downwards were still blades.

I cannot find anything online about the construction of the latest T100s with reference to the shorter clubs.

T series clubs have always been a CB iron or the hollow iron

They replaced the AP series

Blades for Titleist have always been the MB series

I have the 2019 model of T100 and shorter irons definitely all cavity, pretty sure every model since has been the same
