Rory's costly error

Working at home and have the golf on in the background. Just watched Rory get a 2 shot penalty for brushing sand off the fringe in his line of putt.......right poor round for him so far - two double bogey's and a single bogey in the front nine.

Just tuned in to see that Rory was given a 2 stroke penalty for something silly....

brushed sand off the fringe, would have been ok if it had been on the green though.

He has forgotten that already. As far as he's concerned he's level for the round.
He knows he had 4 birdies on the back 9 yesterday and he will be trying to beat that number

I think since his meltdown at the Masters his mental strength has been brilliant.

He hit some "shockers" yesterday and where before he would slump his head and shoulders he just let out an "ahh" groan yesterday and got on with the next shot.

His par at the 1st yesterday was epic; Drive into the rough, duffed his second into the fairway bunker, over shot the green with his 3rd into the thick rough behind the green, lovely touch lob back on and 6 foot putt for par. Easy
