Re: rory signs for callaway

It says he won't be signing, just that he will be using their driver, irons and putter.

ProV1x and Vokey wedges.

NLU wouldn't publish it if they weren't sure.

AG better get ready for the fanboys trading in their M2's for the Cally driver :D

Re: rory signs for callaway

Surprised he wasn't going back to titleist. Wonder how much money the get offered to play a brand!?

Re: rory signs for callaway

just a heads up. sky bet are offering 50/1 odds for rory not winning a single event next year. i know its a long shot but with his changing equipment history and he's getting married in april might make it worth a fiver

He might ball his wedding off again and go on a blinding run tho

Re: rory signs for callaway

He would not sign if he was not comfortable with their gear and the conditions of what he can use in the deal. If he does not win its because he is not good enough not because of the clubs he is using. Callaway make great clubs anyway all through the bag. Suprised he doesn't want to use their wedges though as the MD3's are great wedges.

Re: rory signs for callaway

This has surprised me as did not expect him to chose Callaway. But he will have chosen what is best for him not who is paying him the most, especially seeing as he is using vokey wedges. Strange move on the putter though as as soon as Nike pulled out he was onto that Scotty and all the rumours were saying he had been using it for a while.

Re: rory signs for callaway

Would love to see him try out some of the latest offerings from Fazer - would be good of him to promote some of the cheaper lines out there

Surprised with the move from the woods he been playing well with tm offerings

He must be happy with the Callaway product and mentioned it works best with the Titleist ProV1x. The swap from Nike to Titleist balls might be the biggest change of all? Worth adding he will go off at something like 3/1 in South Africa next week, so proceed with caution.
