I have searched some of the old threads, and I'm wondering if the rocketballz all they are cracked up to be.

I'm looking at changing my rescues and possibly my 3 wood, as I have lost distance on all my clubs since having lessons. My accuracy has improved, but the gapping at the top of my bag is now worse since the lessons have settled down.

I'm not going to buy into the extra 17 yards hype, but 10 yards would do nicely. As I said I read some of the comments, but as we all know, new clubs always feel better/longer/straighter. However 3 months down the line we are a lot more objective.

Still happy with your lot?

I have the 3 rescue and it's getting better and better. Easy to hit and impressive distance. Have hit a couple of greens from 170+ with it lately which for me is pretty special!!!

I only have the RBZ driver, which I hit as in/accurately as my old driver but I do get an extra few yards. Until I have a a lesson how to use it correctly, I don't think I will reap the rewards.

I've got the 3h and love it. Easy to hit and goes miles.

I've been looking to replace my old burner 3w and tried the RBZ 3w but just couldn't hit it. Really thought it would be the club I'd go for. Seemed to sit really toe up for me. :mmm:

Also had a little go with the irons. Again not overly impressed, felt very light and couldn't really feel what the club was doing.

But I love the hybrid

I ended up going for a Ping i20 3W instead. I hit it miles, had a lovely penetrating flight, looks great with the matt black finish and sounds fantastic too. Picking it up later :D

To be fair Axel, I think the woods are the stars in the new range of RBZ gear. The driver, for me, isnt far off the older Superfast 2.0 which I had. When it went, it went well, when you hit off centre, it didnt go nearly as well as the g15 etc so not as forgiving.
That said, I love the R11s I now have.

ive recently upgraded to the driver but am convinced its the shaft thats made the difference for me. I know 3 people who have upgraded to the 3 wood and it goes miles.... there is a small gap type crevice just behind the club face which makes the difference aledgeadly. I cant speak for the rescues but there cant be that much difference surely!

I've got the 10* driver, 3 wood HL (a 4 wood in disguise) and the #4 hybrid.

It's taking me a wee while to get the hang of the driver (the odd one does wander) and I'd say its looking like it's better than the 910D2 I had but I'd say the jury's still out. The 3 wood is way better than the G10 I had. It picks up better off the fairway and is very straight off either the fairway or the tee. The #4 hybrid is definitely better than the original #4 TM I had.

I've got the 3w and now saving for the 5w 19 degree.

I know some people at my club who have the 19 degree and they say they hit it further than their driver (not RBZ)!

isn't there small print that says you only get the extra 17 yards if your clubhead speed is X?

one of my mates has the driver and 3 wood and both go miles but then if he didn't work offshore for months at a time would be off + handicap instead of the 3 he is now.

his 3 wood goes 40 yards past my drives:(

Yep, had a set custom fitted a few weeks ago. Getting used to them now, my 8 iron goes about 140-150 yds, compared to about 120 with old set. Not sure how much that is down to the custom fit and how much is down to the club itself though.

The lofts on the irons are IMO way to strong, but that's what marketing is for ;) Even my Taylor Made burners from 1998 have stronger loft than my mizuno MP-33's...

Yes..... Although if you are getting the driver, the stock shaft launches the ball very high. This is great if this is what you are looking for, although an upgraded shaft may help. I love my 3 wood. Defo worth a look...

To be honest it wasn't the distance claims that sold the club to me, I tried a few on the range and they felt the best, and went somewhere near the right direction most consistently. The Cobras were a very close second but the RBZ just felt better to me.

Sundance has a 3W and he and I hit driver about the same distance. When we played the other week I noticed that when I hit my driver well and he hits his 3W well, my driver goes about as far past his 3W as I would expect my driver to go past a 3W.

Now obviously that's a very limited and un-scientific test but based on it I would say no, it doesn't go any further than any other 3W.

Make of that what you wil :D

I would argue that the CF had a lot to do with that and if you were only getting 120yds out of your old 8i, you would get similar results with a CF of any other manufacturer.

But that is of course just my opinion.

Having said that, I do hear good things about the RBZ irons and haven't actually tried them myself.
