One of our local farmers made the Scottish news with his different take on mud on road.

'Crap on Road'
Strathclydes finest had to respond to one complaint.
The farmers lad explained that it was cow muck and a fair description.
Trying not to laugh the polis agreed.

Someone in our town altered the village sign from "Godalming" to "Gobalminge"....

There is a proper road sign on a single track road right up in the N W of Scotland that says 'Caution Pigs on Road'

There are some lovely old one mile markers on the long straight single track road from Craignure to Iona on the Isle of Mull. Halfway down someone painted one pink in the middle of the night.
This happened about 20 years ago and it has continued to be repainted yearly.

I always wonder why the Lead Singer of Led Zeppelin needs a whole road sign to himself in order to cross the road...

There are signs up the road from my house that is just a big exclamation mark in a triangle, with 'Badgers' written underneath.

And at the back of the local Morrisons there's a exit road into the local housing estate that has a one way speed bump in place... the sign says 'One Way Flaps' and it nails me every time.

Yep, had one of these at a school near where I work. Someone pinned a board underneath that said "I blame the parents" until they added an exclamation mark after slow and a line under it to separate the words.
Made me chuckle every morning till that point.

I also remember seeing a sign on a house fence in Belfast which read :
