RIP Paul Daniels

Passed away earlier this morning, another one from my youth gone .

What a shock how quick this has been for him. We have a close friend in her 50s undergoing treatment for a brain tumour and my mum is in palliative care with an untreatable brain tumour - and so this sad news hits home hard.

March is brain tumour awareness month. Brain tumour research is currently under funded and awareness needs to be raised,

I loved Every Second Counts as a kid in the 80's, and his magic shows always had me hooked

I always liked him. Spoke well in interviews, quite a straight talker, and had a prime time show for many years. A very good entertainer.

Illness took him quickly which could be a blessing but bever nice

Met him and Debbie a few years ago when he came to Germany to entertain the troops, we hosted him in the Sgts' Mess and they were both great company, he was a bit quiet at first as he'd been a LCpl in the Green Howards and he admitted he never thought he'd ever get in to a Sgts' Mess and was unsure how to behave, couple of beers and he had the place in stitches. RIP

as already said ,another part of my youth, Paul was a fantastic close up magician and had me totally baffled by his skill at card tricks.

Met him and Debbie McGee in a corridor at the hospital a few years back when he was in for some tests. Very pleasant and had time for everyone. Use to enjoy his shows on TV and sad to see him go
