What a shock how quick this has been for him. We have a close friend in her 50s undergoing treatment for a brain tumour and my mum is in palliative care with an untreatable brain tumour - and so this sad news hits home hard.
March is brain tumour awareness month. Brain tumour research is currently under funded and awareness needs to be raised,
Met him and Debbie a few years ago when he came to Germany to entertain the troops, we hosted him in the Sgts' Mess and they were both great company, he was a bit quiet at first as he'd been a LCpl in the Green Howards and he admitted he never thought he'd ever get in to a Sgts' Mess and was unsure how to behave, couple of beers and he had the place in stitches. RIP
Met him and Debbie McGee in a corridor at the hospital a few years back when he was in for some tests. Very pleasant and had time for everyone. Use to enjoy his shows on TV and sad to see him go
