But youre still storing images regardless of whether you intend to use them or not.

I have read the guidance on footage storing at home

Should be stored in a way only you can access not just lying around ... Password on CCTV and ring app check

Must be regularly deleted (CCTV auto records over every 14 days , 30 only keeps a month)

Anyone who requests their footage deleted you must. Within a month

So that's how ring is covered. Only stores a month.

Another ping got ring... self installed along with full security. All work ok (though technically Doorbell on wifi and security on z-wave mesh) .. I must say it can be moody at times. When we do our extension, we might do a hard wire version. Great to be able to respond/check to the doorbell when we are on holiday. ... going to add a ring security light if there is a deal during Black Friday.

@pauljames87 ... how do u get the security to take pics in case of going off?

Are we talking the full alarm or just for the door bell to send a pic when motion?

My new porch door has a door handle that only works from the inside unless you have a key for the outside lock. Its the new way apparently.

Hardly new. We had a new front door installed about 24 years ago which works like that.

I was readng yours Post #2 'I have the ring alarm aswell which is great .. I've got it set so if my alarm goes off it records the ring door bell just so u get any idea of what's going on '

our floodlights stopped working.. so have ordered the ring floodlight. As a protect customers, they will do a price match.. but still an expensive bit of kit
