Has anyone else here tried this? I'm a convert. Have been seeing a coach who teaches this and the results have been terrific. I have dropped three shots having struggled previously. Was worried about dropping distance with the driver but whilst not as long as before I'm way straighter and still plenty ok. My belief is that for the general public this is the simplest method to learn. Really interested to hear from the forum!!

Looking at the video's free online and there's not much out there about the set up, could you briefly go through it for us?
I've been using Jim Venetos and slowly getting good results but purely from the internet.

Bear with me as I'm not a coach. My man uses the term " reverse K" for the set up (you can google that too) essentially, the left side is a straight line. Weight stays on the left but it's not stack and tilt.
Billy Bondaruk has some video out there too.

Have had a look at this. There are similarities but I think it's very different in the alignment and not as balanced imho?

my coach works with another pro who teaches it.

Basically (from what he said), its a good way to hit the ball short.

In in one respect I'm lucky in that in need straight and control, not distance as I'm long enough. However I'm 54 and at least a club shorter than when I stopped playing in 2008. But my numbers are ok, I carry my 7 iron 165 on a normal good swing, driver carry is 265 with same effort. I think I can find more with the driver, but that so far is the only possible negative for me.

Not looked at it but sounds a little like S&T to me. Will have a gander later on. Have to confess I've never heard of it

Def not stack and tilt Homer. Although it FEELS like I'm just waving my arms , on camera it's a full coil and I'm ripping my irons. I have always struggled with moving off the ball and this is keeping me centred.

Would this not be "Left sided golf"

Does sound very Plummer and Bennet.

That's the problem right there, I've never had a pro try to teach me to move off the ball yet I've done it.

Does any pro teach it? I doubt it but I think it is a common issue, probably based in misinterpretation by the body and feel.

I would guess S&T and other methods overstate the sway for marketing reasons, they are just tackling a common fault with specific fixes beyond the extremes most coaches would work to.

Whatever is gained is probably lost somewhere, usually in potential energy. Nothing wrong with sacrificing potential distance for consistency as long as it is understood that is what is happening.

The thing that makes me sad is the marketing, not the technique.

I use the linear method of chipping and pitching which is not a universally taught method and so finding a coach (other than Gary Smith who is a tad expensive and difficult to get an appointment with at times) isn't easy. I'd worry that the OP would struggle to find too many other pros teaching it. Out of interest where do have these lessons Retread61?

So Retread is this working for you? Is it easy to learn? The pro at my club teaches it, but I am unsure of whether to get lessons as this could limit my game in the future? Or maybe it would improve it!?

Anyone else use right sided golf???

Apologies for the tardy response. I'm having lessons with Andy Kirk at Guildford. The reason for me posting is the excellent outcome from going to see him. It's important to me though that this thread is not seen as and ad for Andy! He's a pretty strong character and might not suit all, but I would always put him in a list of local coaches to see, along with Adrian Carter ,Alisdair Barr, Guy Shoesmith.

I can absolutely say it's working for me. I have dropped 3 shots in a couple of months, although hardly playing at my home course. Have been on 5 trips (lucky git I know!) since I started seeing Andy , have won 4 and came third in the other as I missed day one and was given the worst score rather than the average for the day. Otherwise would have won that too! Thing is, in contrast to what's being posted on this thread, my numbers are better than before. Swing speed up, distances, smash factor etc etc, all better. I'm having a lesson next week and will post the actual site here.

OK, that's really good to know. Why do you not think it is more commonly taught? Presuming there are no / very few pros using this method?
