Hi Guys,
greatly appreciate any feedback on this. As the title of my post states, I had an ankle fusion on my left (lead) ankle about 9 weeks ago. Here are my questions for anyone that has had this;

How many weeks post op before I can expect to play?

Will it affect my swing, causing me to change it?

Is there trouble with balance/swing if you are reaching down below your feet on the side of a hill?

Any one walking the course on a regular basis with no pain?

thanks in advance. I'm particularly interested in hearing from those who have had ankle fusion on their lead ankle like I have or if you know someone well that who play with who had the surgery.

thank you,
Wayne

Not me but a good friend has had his left (lead) ankle fused.

I believe he picked the game up after he had it fused so I can't really comment on the first two questions but what I would say is that he has quite a scoopy swing if that makes sense, so he doesn't tend to kind of roll onto that lead ankle. Not sure whether that's as a result of the fusing or not.

For the last two points:

- He doesn't seem to have any issues with ball below the feet or above the feet lies.
- He does walk courses regularly, any issues he does have are related to his back more than his ankle.
