Rifle shaft question

One for shaft guru's. My mate has got a set of clubs he has been struggling with, the shafts are:

FCM 6.5 Rifle Precision

Any info anyone?

He has been leaking shots to the right and is wondering if the shafts are part of the problem.

Quite heavy and rather stiff - Extra Stiff really, though some Pros use even stonger.

What shafts was he using previously? What body shape and swing style is he?

I use 6.5s that have been soft-stepped twice. I like the heavier feel in the swing but am still not 'sold' on the feel at impact. 6.0 really suited me.

Fairly fast swinger. Reasonably well built nothing out of the ordinary really. No idea what shafts he had previously although I know they were stiff flex.

Could well be just a case of getting used to them - and perhaps the slightly different style to previous ones. Stiffer and heavier shafts would have a tendency to go right (for most).

Rifle 6.5 is a solid shaft, somewhere between S and X on the Dynamic Gold scale (although with rather different feel), or roughly equivalent to 6.0 on the Project X scale.

Cheers I will pass this on to him. He plays off 12 so is not a hacker by any means so they should be o.k for him in the long run
