Oh no Ricky, way to anxious which wasn't a surprise. Just wish his corner could have calmed him down as that left hook lead was getting him no where. I do still think he could beat malignaggi but would never want to see him fight the likes of Kell Brook!!!

All the years of abuse of his body took his toll.
Has done amazingly well to get himself in great shape.
I hope he can now retire gracefully,he is a legend in my eyes.
So many great nights over the years.
Good luck for the future Ricky

No doubt a great boxer in his day, and a pretty fair payday last night
But yes it's time to retire now, my concern is that he will return to the props that kept him going for so long
Booze n drugs.

I really hope he can avoid this and find a new purpose in his life

He seemed at peace finally at the post fight press conference, the next six months will be crucial for him.

He was a great champion in his hay day, he should be able to retire with his head held high.

Ricky is one of boxing's overachiever's.
Together with clever matchmaking, and good promotion,he has gone much further, and accomplished more than his talent should have allowed.Add to this the amount of self abuse, and its amazing he's still in one piece.
He's never been fully dedicated to the sport, drinking regularly, and eating junk are things boxers/athletes don't do.Carl Froch for instance only put's on 8-10 pounds between fights and he's fighting at 168 pounds, whereas Hatton was ballooning up around the 13 stone mark, and he was fighting at 140 pounds !
Hatton clearly has some personal demons, and the beatdowns he suffered at the hands of Mayweather and Pacquiao are clearly hurting him.I'm not a fan,but i wish him all the best in the future, and hope that he can find peace for himself and those close to him.
