Have just bought a newish Astra which has no reverse parking sensors. Started relying on them from my previous car.

The local Vauxhall Garage is recommending X vision and another Vauxhall Garage VEBA. Some firms come to your house to fit them

Realise the cost will be around £200/250 and any suggestions as to what to buy would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Either!

I don't know them but I have just dinged my car reversing in a really tight, downhill manoeuvre and the repair is more costly than those sensors!

Do you get a free hook for your handbag with either?
:D

Didn't Rooter have a good tale relating to sensors?

Sorry OP am no help with your query.

Thanks for trying to help. Perhaps I should have mentioned earlier that I have problems with my eyes and if I had hopefully Murphthemog and Three would not have passed such caustic comments!

Not being funny, but if your eyes are so bad that you can't reverse without sensors, should you actually be on the road?????

Caustic????
Jeez get over yourself ffs.

And being sensible, if you can't properly park an Astra due to eyesight problems, how come you're allowed to drive?

The op only asked for feedback on parking sensors. Now his ability to drive is being questioned.
I believe sensors are one of the few extras worth having. Irrespective of car size, squeezing into gaps becomes much less hassle, what's not to like?

Sensors are a good idea, I would happily have them on both my vehicles.
However he got the arse with a couple of jokey answers and raised the possibility that he NEEDS them for some eyesight reason. If he seriously struggles to reverse an Astra due to eyesight issues, it's fair game to question being allowed to drive.

Yup, reversed into a tree. Sensors make you lazy!! Tree was growing at quite a steep angle and sensors picked up the lower trunk, I didn't even look and the trunk at 4ft high went through my xc90 rear window. From side on, that part of the tree was 2ft further out than the base where the sensors were picking up!

My fault entirely, but they do help but you still need to look! Lol

Mine has sensors with a bar on the dash for the front & rear, lets you get really close on the motorway when knobs want to lane hog....:smirk:
