Retrieving a card from the Comp Box

Had to retrieve a card as I forgot to put the score in the computer (was a shocking round too and a 0.1). The handicap secretary was more than happy to retrieve if for me and I duly inputted my score and return it to the comp box.

Thanks Duncan I thought so, though it seems that folks first reaction is that it opens up the opportunity for score manipulation. I personally doubt that would be the case & such manipulation is a seperate issue all together really. Am wondering How long have you used this definition & how has it been received? Sorry to be going on but I think if we cooperate with members where ever possible then we have good reason to expect them to do the same in return.

We introduced a general definition of the scoring area (The clubhouse and car park) around 6 years ago as part of a sorting out of local rules and conditions of competition.

We haven't had any issues in this regard since ie it enables what others have referenced as common sense at a club level. With regards to card manipulation, I think there must be a complete misunderstanding to believe that anything fundamentally changes with such an approach. What's the practical difference?

Thanks Duncan, appreciated... I can only concur.
