Relief from immovable obstructions

If your ball/stance/swing is affected by two separate immovable obstructions, I believe you treat them independently when considering relief options. Ie you take relief from one, and then if the second still interferes, then you take further relief. Is that correct? And if so, is there anything which restricts or determines the order in which you choose to take relief from them?

We have a scenario where a net might impede your swing whilst a path affects your stance. There are circumstance where your choice of which to do first could leave you in a more advantageous position than doing it the other way. I assume that is just good fortune?
