Recommend me somewhere to play on Wednesday in Bristol

The Kendleshire is a lovely course with options as to which 18 you play, you can combine different 9hole combinations. But take your life jacket there is plenty of water

Also Bowood is special, never played there myself but heard very good reports.

Or if you want to cross the bridge go down to Celtic Manor its only 30mins from Bristol. Played Roman Road and the Monty. Both good tracks. or splash out for 18 on the 2010.

Filton has been fantastic all summer, just great condition. The greens are excellent.
The only thing that lets it down is some of the old (brown sand - new ones are white)bunkers need sorting, but they are being done as funds allow and most are done now.

BTW - Mendip was always a very enjoyable little trip. Lovely course, lovely location, fantastic views over Glastonbury and surrounds

Looks like I can get on the Bristol for £10.50 so I think that's a winner

Kendleshire.

I played there last Friday and it was in superb condition, the greens especially being brilliant. It is a nice course with a few really excellent holes. Well worth a visit.

Or short in the water, or sliced right with a possibility of chipping on... or like a mate of mine once... topped to one inch behind the ladies tee (think he did end up on the bank on the left for his second shot though!)

Tó be honest he was shame faced enough... he had to wait a fair time for me to stop laughing... and besides it wasn't something I particulaly wanted to see!

This is the same mate who took four shots to get past the ladies markers on one occaision... I don't even want to think about what penalty there is for that... I want to be able to sleep at nights!!
