No it’s not, there’s a shortage of females in the game and the Club are taking positive action.
There’s no need to even think about the other way round.

I'm all for getting more women to play golf, but I think it should be the golf "unions" that fund it, not male members.

Shall they also get rid of reductions for seniors and juniors ?

Why does it matter to you if someone else gets cheaper fees - all that should matter is you believing you have value for the money you pay

At my club women pay the same fees and the same joining fee. Gents waiting list is closed, their's is not. Doing our bit there. All good.

They do at my club as long as they are over 65 and members for >20 years.

It is value for money if are ok paying that

Does every single member at your club play the same fee - juniors , seniors etc

And other clubs have looked at doing things differently to try and improve the imbalance between the membership categories - doesn’t make it a disgrace

There are many in the belief they shouldn’t, some will say the same with juniors

But in all walks of life there are various discounts for depending on age and sex

I just look at how much I pay and will judge if it’s value for money for me
